There is a ton of false information out there about fruits. Many “diets” cut out a lot of fruits if not all fruits and tell you that they are packed with sugar. While this is true, a bowl of berries is very different than a bowl of jolly ranchers or a bowl of processed sugar filled cereal. Fruit is filled with NATURAL sugars and have endless benefits for your health. While cutting out processed sugars is never a bad move, cutting out vitamin/ mineral rich fruits that are beneficial for your health could be a huge mistake that you are making in your journey to a healthier life. Most diets cut out ALL sugars and add in a diet that is high in animal protein. While this might show instant results, the longevity on your health will suffer. High meat diets have been proven to wreak havoc on your health and can lead to a multitude of illnesses in the long term. I will tell you that eating fruit is not going to make you gain weight….its just not. If anything an abundance of plant-based food will aid in your weight loss as well as assist in a number of other health benefits.
